200 lbs Stainless Steel Stove Labor Service

Today, me and my helpers Marvin and Nate took a 200 lbs stainless steel stove from outside a building on w 135 st and broadway in NY.  The stove itself wasn’t that heavy but it was very awkward handling it.  We actually took turns as we made our way up the small stair cases’ twists and turns!

Govenor Spotting While Doing a Belleville, NJ Move!

Danielle Gonzalez. Moving from a second story apartment in Belleville NJ. Service order was for 2 hrs,  three men, moving within the same town.
She was one of the few clients who actually had every thing in perfect moving order.  Upon booking job, the client asked a few questions about packing and what it would take to keep her move under 2 hrs.

I let her know that providing plastic wrap (shrink ) for the mattress would save time and she could prepare her table top glass. All in all it was a very efficient move with no damages.

While returning home (via the path train to the world trade center),  I bumped into the Govenor of New Jersey! What a guy! I called his name and asked for a photo!  He obliges and poses for me!

How awesome is that?!!

Moving Marcus: A Harlem Move

Moving Marcus was a great surprise, seeing that I received his request at around 11:30 am.  And after several short emails of flat rates (which weren’t in his budget) I left a final  rate for the unload.
It  went unanswered I thought , until around 5:15 am I checked my email and he had accepted my final rate.
Awesome! And yes I’m up at this early morning hour!

So with a job on hand I quickly rallied the troops and called my regular guy and longtime friend Wayne W.

I met up with Wayne  on the famed 125 th street at the corner of Lenox Ave for a quick cup of java from DunkinDonuts! After that it was off to work having to travel only a block or so. At 2130 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd: a new building with a elevator! (A big relief to Wayne who is alittle older than I am!)

Upon arrival we met up with Marcus and Gina and quickly started unloading. What an array of household articles!  There was an easy entrance into the building so it was mover friendly!  As the wind blew, we worked in a feverish pitch seeing the late morning start and we also had an afternoon job as well. We moved boxes, plastic containers, a sofa, 2 sets of king sized mattresses and box springs, a dresser and a chest of drawers. We completed the job in 1:45 mins.

Awesome meeting Marcus and Gina and a big thanks to Thumbtack.com.

Thank you!
